Courses of Polish as a foreign language at levels A (a), A1(b) A2(a), B1(a), B2(a) in full-time mode and C1(a) in online mode in the winter semester of the academic year 2025/2026

The classes are run by didactics with many years of experience, examiners in the state certificate examination. Our excellent teaching specialists, experienced methodologists who are fluent in one or two foreign languages are able to ensure the highest quality of teaching. 

Description of the groups

Curriculum

Our courses are aimed at adults who want to develop their communication skills, enrich their vocabulary at a selected level and raise awareness of using Polish as a foreign language.

60-hour course of Polish as a foreign language at A1(a) level (with the possibility of continuing in the spring semester) 

Students will become familiar with simple and easy communication in everyday situations, e.g. in a store, on a bus, in a hotel, in a restaurant. They can introduce themselves, ask questions and answer them. They talk about themselves and their interests, as well as get acquainted with the basic everyday phrases. They can express uncomplicated  requests, wishes, ask for help. They formulate simple messages and read uncomplicated texts about Polish culture and customs.    

60-hour course of Polish as a foreign language at A1(b) level (with the possibility of continuing in the spring semester) 

This course is a continuation of level A1(a) which started in March 2025, developing and consolidating the skills acquired at the basic level and expanding vocabulary and communication skills so that students can cope independently in an increasing number of everyday situations. It allows students to master the basics of the Polish language necessary for simple communication in everyday life, understanding simple texts and messages, and constructing short statements both in speech and in writing. 

60-hour course of Polish as a foreign language at A2(a) level (with the possibility of continuing in the spring semester) 

Students deepen their skills in using Polish grammar and practice the skills of effective, constructive and confident communication in speech and writing in various communication situations. 

60-hour course of Polish as a foreign language at B1(a) level (with the possibility of continuing in the spring semester) 

After completing the course, students are able not only to make contact in order to ask questions, obtain information, but also to join in conversations with others. They can be an active participant in a simple discussion, they can easily express intentions, thoughts and opinions and justify them. They know how to talk about events from the past and plans for the future. 

60-hour course of Polish as a foreign language at B2(a) level (with the possibility of continuing in the spring semester) 

Students are able to read and understand fragments of contemporary Polish literature, translate texts of press articles, take up and actively participate in the discussion not only on topics of everyday life, but also on specialist topics related to their interests. They can give short lectures in front of the audience and answer specific questions. They can present their views and take part in an official discussion. They know and can accurately read modern, commonly used idioms.  

After completing the course, students are able to read and understand excerpts from contemporary Polish literature, translate newspaper articles, and actively participate in discussions not only on everyday topics, but also on specialist topics related to their interests. They are capable of giving short presentations in front of an audience and answering specific questions. They are able to present their views and participate in formal discussions. They know and are able to accurately interpret contemporary, commonly used idioms.  

Requirements: knowledge of Polish language on B1 level confirmed by a state certificate; in case of lack of a given certificate, a written and oral qualification is necessary. 

30-hour course in Polish as a foreign language at B1 level preparing for the state examination

The course develops all the language skills which are tested at the state examination in Polish as a foreign language. Students will learn what to expect during the exam. They will feel calm and well prepared, which will make it easier for them to make full use of the knowledge they have acquired and to present their skills properly. They will be informed about their level of proficiency in Polish: their strengths and areas for further study. This course is dedicated to those who have already reached B1 level but their knowledge needs to be organised and systematised.

On-line courses and trainings 

60-hour course of Polish as a foreign language at C1(a) level (with the possibility of continuing in the spring semester) – real-time online course 

Requirements: knowledge of Polish language on B2 level confirmed by a state certificate; in case of lack of a given certificate, a written and oral qualification is necessary. 

After completing the full course at the C1 level (120 hours of study), the graduate is proficient in Polish and is able to communicate freely and accurately in academic and professional settings in accordance with linguistic and cultural standards: 

- understands and interprets longer oral and written statements on academic and specialized topics in various technical fields, 

- understands complex texts on academic topics and various technical fields; obtains the necessary information from the literature he reads, 

- creates well-structured statements, uses advanced linguistic means (grammatical and lexical); elaborates on particular topics; 

- prepares coherent and elaborate texts typical of academic and professional environment, also based on information from various specialized sources. 

Training for Examiners in State Exam in Polish as a Foreign Language (12 hours) 

The aim of the training is to prepare candidates to perform the function of an examiner during a state certificate exams in Polish as a foreign language. 

Learning outcomes - upon completion of the course, the student: 

1. has the knowledge and practical skills necessary to be an examiner during the state certificate exam in Polish as a foreign language. 

2. uses the nomenclature characteristic of this type of examination. 

3. is able to check and evaluate, in accordance with the handbook and criteria, the examination papers of the examinees in the following categories: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, grammatical correctness, writing and speaking. 

Subject area: 

1. General information about the exam. 

2. Documents necessary for the work of an examiner. 

3. Principles of checking the modules: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, grammatical correctness. 

4. Ways of marking and classifying errors in written works. 

5. Scoring of written assignments. 

6. Assessment of the speaking module. 

Type of courses and frequency of classes

All courses are run between October 2025 and February 2026. 

The 60-hour courses run twice a week in the afternoon or evening, each class for 90 minutes, while the 30-hour course runs once a week for each class for 90 minutes.  

Completing the course

After completing all classes, participants receive a certificate of completion of the course. The condition is to complete the course with a minimum attendance of 70% (this regulation does not apply to Training for Examiners – 100% attendance is required here)   

Recruitment 

Candidates will be invited for an interview and language proficiency tests. Once qualified, they will be given the necessary recruitment documentation (application form, personal questionnaire) to complete. Admission to the course is determined by the order of applications and passing the qualification in oral and written form. 

Fees 

The price depends on the level of language proficiency as well as on the number of participants in a group (min. 6, max. 10 students, in exceptional cases 12) 

60-hour A1(a), A1(b) and A2(a) course - the price starts at PLN 1,440 (with 10% discount: PLN 1,296)  

60-hour B1(a) course -the price starts at 1,560 PLN (with 10% discount: 1,404 PLN) 

60-hour B2(a) course - the price starts at 1,680 PLN (with 10% discount: 1,512 PLN)  

60-hour C1(a)course - the price starts at 2,190 PLN (with 10% discount: 1971 PLN)  

30-hour B1 course - the price starts at 820 zł (with 10% discount: 738 zł) 

Training for Examiners in State Exam in Polish as a Foreign Language - PLN 560. 

Discounts apply for one-time payment in advance and for continuing tuition at our centre. It is possible to split the fees into 3 installments.
